We are a violent species in a violent time; to say that guns somehow cause violence, and thus imply that the lack of guns somehow causes a lack of violence is obviously ludicrous. The only thing that changes is the weapons. You should note that here in the U.S. we have a relative paucity of market square bombings and soccer riots. So far.
