You're absolutely correct about Globex trading, NAZ futures mean even less as the overnight market is very thinly traded.

(RTH = daytime session, Globex2 = overnight session)

The NAZ 100 futures recorded only 75 trades in the session as opposed to daytime trading volume of 11k. SP9M futures saw a volume of 2k versus daytime volume of 89k.

Frank, the S&P futures only give an indication as to how the markets will open. After that, "everyone is on their own".
