Pals, Stern's on my radio right now, ugh he's brought some bimbos into my living room gettin' nekkid and on his first time coming into the house too. Passed thru his restriction to the car radio only, for purposes of this a.m. research here. After which Stern'll be stepping back outside, about as welcome as the vacuum salesman who throws a dirtbag on the customers carpet.
HS just read a letter from some corporate guy who said he listened to Howard Stern Show all the time while driving recently, and who wrote,
"Inappropriate laughter because of discomfort about an upsetting topic is common human behavior" "People took 3 or 4 sound bites out of 20 hours of program and took it out of context" "Howard is being railroaded" and "I didn't hear Howard say anything improper in context as he took call after call and attempted to make sense of this, trying to analyze why these killers would do such a thing".
HS thanked him and agreed, and said "I made comments that weren't even bad".
He also said the CO Senate votes about him today, and called 'em hypocrites, said it's so it'll look like they're doing something about what happened there. HS also called Rosie O'Donnell a hypocrite, saying she says she cares so much about the kids when KMart is her big advertising contract and they sell guns.
So, I didn't hear the shows in question with the horrible comments being talked about; but I'm hearing it just now and didn't like what I heard today either; and that's with him on his best behavior. I don't have to hear the original comments at this point, all I need to know is that good people who are upset enough already are upset even more by whatever the comments were even if they were only to spark "phrases taken out of context". A guy like that has no business trying to talk about such a serious sensitive subject in the first place, what, sandwiched between the belches and crackhead laughs? Even if he said nothing wrong in or out of context, not his line of work. Let him keep to the bimbos.
Will continue to AVOID the Show, and CBS and INF. Here's some advertisers this morning....Today's Man 800-950SUIT, Fatwhacker Diet Pills 800-8149029, NissanMaximaSE Lease 800-2398792, zinezone.com website "Go Blaze your own trail"; Tequiza new beer from Annheuser Busch (I'm a BUD shareholder and will call); bigstar.com fun, educational and safe videos for kids, free "A Bugs Life" video from Disney with a $15 purchase; Innovation Luggage, STS Tire & Auto Centers, Bass Ale, Dodge Orlando trip giveaway at Dealer, Datek.com Online Brokerage, previewtravel.com, Concentric network High Speed Internet Provider concentricdsl.com, Sims Clothing, Mitsubishi Eclipse, eloan.com, flashcom.com high speed DSL connection, jobs.com ("this flushing sound is the sound of your resume being flushed down the toilet"), 6 Flags Great Adventure.
Okay it's off now, whshew, an hour and a half of Stern. Hope some decent show sees this list, and calls 'em to switch before I even get a chance to get to 'em.
Yer pal,
Joan
