Every Tom Dick and Jane are day trading and good luck to them all. I think you hit on a good point that many of these newcomers don't understand the risks that they are actually taking, particularly if they're on margin. I would advise taking it small in the begining and with cash positions only. Margin is for the experienced traders who have capital, fast trading systems and discipline
