arthur...it is fun...we can't beat them, and don't have the capacity to join them, if we play by their rules....trying to market time and trade the stock will always put a mark in the loss column for us... all however is not lost...for they have given us a formidable weapon that can level the playing field...and this double edge sword is the "leap".... we can take advantage of the manic swings by selling leaps, puts or calls, at these hyper moments of market anxiety....and in many instances profit in a day or two, even if the common goes against us..purely on the normalizing of the volatility factor.. should have my "unportfolio" in place no later than monday...looking maybe to set a put position in aol or cmgi..if the market brings them down...trying to obtain a 5-8% premium per month on the 30k...so plain numbers 1500-2400 a month, maybe less, maybe more...even if i do 3-5%, with low risk, not so bad of a yearly return...i'll give you an update when i start...thanks and good luck, ed a.
