Maybe one more:

In Red Square, when Stalin took leadership of the Communist party, he received a telegram from Trotsky, his exiled enemy. Stalin stilled the vast crowd and read the following:

"The Kremlin, Moscow
To Comrade Stalin:

You were right and I was wrong. You are the true heir of Lenin. I should apologize. Signed Trotsky."

The crowd erupted in deafening cheers and applause.
Stalin felt a tug on his pant leg. A little Jewish tailor whispered up to him, "Comrade Stalin. Such a wonderful message. But you did not do it justice."
Again, Stalin stilled the crowd and said, "This loyal worker says that I did not read the telegram properly. I invite him to re-read it for us."

The tailor came up, took it and read:

"To Comrade Stalin,
You were right and I was wrong?! You are the true heir of Lenin?!
I should apologize??!!

Signed Trotsky"
