Bill: Email Etrade and tell them which lot shares you want to sell. By using email you will have proof for the IRS. I have used the phone before for the same purpose.(to designate lots sold)You have plenty of time to get it straightened out. (4/15/00) :) Ron

Bill L, I am currently in the middle of a pissing contest on the same thing with AOL and MSFT stock. I have about 8 emails and they seem to keep screwing it up worse. The big problem I see is that no one person handles your account. When you call in you can get a trainee or a vet and will never know other than the problem not getting fixed. I am kind of getting fed up and will handle the problem with written confirmations on tax time. I wonder if you can walk into this place and get it fixed? Good luck this is where etrade shows no concern or service. Whiskey
