goldsnow,

It is going to be interesting in Congress. The
best thing we could do for the troops would be
to pull em out of the Balkans, throw a big parade
for em, give em a hugh pay bonus, and thank them
for doing the best they could under the circumstances.

However, what Bubba is now trying to do is make the
NATO pilots work 'round the clock. He is sending
over a bunch of tankers so that they can pull even
longer shifts in the air. They are already suffering
from fatigue of flying endless high stress missions.
In fact, that is one of the contributing factors in
how Scott O'Grady got shot down. It was a long flight,
and toward the end all of a sudden, they were locked
on and 2 SAM-6 missiles came up threw the clouds. The
first one went right between the 2 F-16s. The second
one went right through O'Grady's jet. He said it felt
like his plane was "hit by a truck with a missile on
it". Now we got our fearless Commander in Chief telling
our pilots to spend even more time in the air looking
for the enemy (which strangly enough, never seem to
just appear and wait around to be fired upon). You
can bet we will see more jets go down. I bet that
Clinton will fight to the last dead American pilot.
