Viavid Video

I am glad to see something finally coming from the association with Viavid. Has anyone been able to view the video at a speed less than T1. I tried several times from home on a 56K modem but could not view it until I got back to work and had access to a T1 line( 1M/sec throughput).

All in all my impression of the video is positive. It was nice to actually see the competition i.e. size and mechanics ( BIG, SurFast, Jamishidi Needle). The only real negative thing I heard in the video was that production would not be ready until Dec 1999. I know that Mr. Jacobs wording was that production would be ready by Dec 1999 if not sooner.

This is very disappointing to me as that is approximately 7 months from now and eight months from the date that the field tests were offically called complete. It is certainly longer than the by 4th quarter estimate included in the April 9 news release unless the "by" means before the end of as most people I think interpreted it to mean "by the start of".

I would really appreciate it if Mr. Jacob's or someone from Pyng could explain why the ramp up to production should take so long and give us an update on how the third party manufacturing source selection is going.
