I used the market cap data from YHOO, it could be out of date.
Even so, my point was that AOL cannot purchase T or vice versa.

AOL's market cap it around $150B and T's is around $195B. These are such different companies (and valued so differently in the marketplace) I can't imagine there ever being a combination that would make any sense -- other than some kind of strategic alliance.
