Don, thanks for the info. The selling looks purely technical and your post confirmed that. The following caught my eye because I think it's probably true, given the huge volume we had on the initial sell-off:

Exhaustion selling means that 'everyone who has wanted to sell has sold'. Or, the stock has been sold out to the extent that there is no one left to sell who wants to sell.<<

By the way, anyone who trades with these programs deserves to have their head handed to them.
