But DMA, you never did explain your interpretation of that pesky "well regulated militia" phrase. Traditionally, the courts have had a somewhat different interpretation of whether it means anything than the NRA and fellow travelers. I don't know, but I'd guess that China has somewhat fewer than our 30k+ firerarms deaths a year. We're #1!

There is a cost for the freedoms we enjoy. The liberal solution is more government and less freedom. JLA

I was talking to a customer who is from Switzerland yesterday. He says that in Europe there is a saying that in America you are free until you go there!The point is that we regulate everything in this country from the way you do construction on your own home to whether or not you can drive a car or get married or what kind of medical treatment you are allowed to have. You need to be licensed to fish, hunt, open a business own a car or operate certain power tools. What prey tell is so sacred about gun owner ship? Yeah, yeah,no problem with gun owner ship in general but lets restrict assault weapons, make Saturday night specials a little tougher to get. No weapons for sale at swap meets unless they adhere to all regulations things such as that for starters. Once we get these things through we will work on taking away all your freedoms and every single fire arm in North America AAAH HAHAHAHAHA! pez
