And customers clearly CAN transact: 160,000 average DAILY trades in the first Quarter of 1999, according to the 4/15 press release. That was 90% more than a year ago, according to Charles R. Schwab, Chairman.

And with revenues up over 50% from the first quarter in '98, and net income more than 100%, it appears that the site outages are growing pains, not an impediment to overall sales or profits.
