LindyBill,

Thanks for all the chearleading on QCOM. Thanks in part to your dialogue I now have a very healthy investment in the business that is more than comfortably in the money.

Regarding MSFT, if anyone can remember back to last year and the period that followed the split, the stock seems to be mirroring last year's performance fairly closely. I remember almost to the day when I started getting very itchy about the lack of movement in MSFT's price following weeks of languishing in a range. Well, it looks like the stock may be following history at this point and is range bound for another week or two. The one major point I took away from last year's trading frustration, however, was that it was a great opportunity to buy more MSFT for my long term holdings. I did not do it last year but I am this year. The consolidations in MSFT's trading patterns take longer than ever due to the enormous number of shares now outstanding. And I suggest that the consolidation in MSFT's stock started earlier this year than last and that the stock started selling off even before this Q's earnings release.

But patience will be rewarded.

Teflon

I have reduced my position from 55% to 15% of my portfolio, to pick up Qualcomm, and would drop further if I saw something interesting

I reduced my MSFT and INTC each by 25% to buy more QCOM, UNPH, and ATHM. Don't regret it and will keep looking. Keep me abreast to your thinking.
