Art,

I added to my position today and yesterday. I bought back the remainder of the shares I sold a few months ago between $27 and $29 before the run-up to 37 5/8.

The fact that they keep repeating that they are positioning themselves for "major growth" gets me all excited and I just cannot resist.

This is the growth story for today...

Art -

Surely by now you recognize teh SNDK two-step. Loads of great announcements a veritable flood of good news against a background of a massive increase in the market for CF and now for both CF and MMC's is inevitably followed almost the same day by the stock price tanking. Sure as night follows day.

No problem you sort of get used to it. Just think of those that went for the secondary at over $28 in November 1997!!!!!!

Good old SNDK will get there in the end though. Eli is actually very very good and they have got a good team and clearly some very good R&D.

Best regards,

L

Thread,

Please look at this link.

shopper.com

The Lexar 64 MB CF (#118) is outselling the SanDisk 48 MB CF (#180) on this e-mall site. This tells you that Lexar has been quite successful in marketing product and establishing name brand recognition for their digital film based on print advertising, emphasis on write speed ("4X" and "8X"), retail presence, digital photography starter kits and their website at digitalfilm.com.

I do not feel that the preliminary judgement in the Lexar suit is inconsequential.

SanDisk now has a 96 MB CF card available for around $250.00. If we are to be competitive with the microdrive or Calluna Card we will need to see retail prices near $1.50/MB this year and $1.00/MB next year.

Keep the faith.
