It is a little disconcerting, isn't it? I'm in at 30 yesterday. I keep in mind that the stock did target at $14 for the IPO. I read this like leveling related to the IPO.

Frankly, what I read about this company impresses me. NETP offers to add horsepower to databases and .com sites that use them. This makes it more than a 'me to' .com company. If it turns out to be mathematical smoke. Doh!

How long will it take low-tech or no-tech investors (no matter how wealthy) to see the upside? The realization that web sites are only as good as the people who create them is overdue. The people who invest in .com without knowledge of the underlying technology are gamblers and I don't try to predict their behavior. Will the low-tech market makers stampede away from technology stocks like a bunch of crazed buffalo? Maybe. Right now there isn't enough financial information on NETP so for them it's essentially playing a hunch. Hence, big price swings. MM's snort in disgust. Day traders snort other things.

I invest in technologies that I know and this looks like the real deal. There is some speculation on my part, but the underlying technology is sound. If I'm wrong, I'm poor. So far I haven't been. I do hedge against the stampede, but I believe there is enough smart (no, lets say educated) money to stay strong in technology like this.
