Scott,

FP is flying on rumors today.... Their financials are due out tomorrow(the rumor is they are good) also they have redone their web site at firstplus.com .... Looks pretty impressive!There may be some short covering too....For sure something is going on....Now at 2 1/8 x 2 3/16 up 1 1/4 on over 8 mil shares traded.

I am hearing rumors that it could be one of three things now.
1. One of the divisions was about to go into bankruptcy, but is coming out of it.
2. Possible buy out of this division or the company.
3. Strong financials to be released soon.

I have yet to confirm any of it.

The stock straded has high as $52 this past year (FP)

At the rate it is moving; we could see $3.00 before the close.
