At the MSFT Anti-Trust trial, Boeing submitted papers that they were stuck with Windows 95 because it allowed the company to run Netscape which, at that time, was the only Browser that would support both UNIX and MSFT operating system.

Look at the proceedings from the trial.

Perhaps the technology has changed since then, but it was an issue at the time.
