Heinz,

*OT*

You are absolutely correct that NT has far less memory leaks than Windows (95 or 98). Memory leaks are usually the reason for lockups on an MS system. However, Mr. Gates has a Trojan horse. With the new service pack for Y2K compliance, Office 97 and Outlook etc will automatically load up upon boot unless you actively configure them not to. These programs are memory hogs, replete with memory problems. So, Mr. gates can make your NT box crash if you are not careful. Your advice was sound...NT is a much more stable operating system and usually will give the user far less problems. LINIX is even more stable.

Best,

Steve
