Which is truly odd, because what is it that the internet companies sell? Commodities!! And why do they sell commodities? Volume and Turnover and Efficient inventory control.

Now look at each of those characteristics. Do they not sound just like Dell?

David, re:<< i think the street focuses on the price drop of pc instead of unit shipment increase. hence, dell's earning is still
a question in mind. i know this sounds like treating dell
a commodity company instead of an internet company but well
that's way the street is taking.>> I think the street focuses on all the financial parameters of the company. I don't think Dell will miss earnings...Michael Dell and his management team have made too many positive comments at the recent analyst's meetings, the IDC and Dataquest pc data is very strong and, Cpq's problems are of their own making. I don't think Dell is considered to be an Internet company...not yet...maybe in the future.
