*OT* Chinmoy, re:confusion on loss on MSPG. From DJ Online News:

"After U.S. markets closed Tuesday, MindSpring posted a net **loss** of $3.3 million, or 12 cents a share, reversing a year-ago net profit of $860,000, or four cents a share. The loss was the result of amortization expenses tied to MindSpring's purchase of a large chunk of fellow ISP NetCom for $245 million in cash and stock from ICG Communications Inc. earlier this year.

Without the amortization charges, MindSpring had earnings of $4.7
million, or 16 cents a share, up from eight cents a share a year
earlier."

Jeff Smith
