Jubak's analysis is good, but like so many other analysts that had Qwest rise faster then they thought it should, I don't think he fully understands the company or what's happening in the industry.

Perhaps if he looked at the Wired Magazine article some months ago and saw that when the networks completed Qwest will have more capacity then AT&T, MCI Worldcom, and Sprint combined he'd develop a greater understanding of where the company's going.

I live in the 310 Area Code in Los Angeles, it used to be 213 and now has been split into half a dozen or more area codes. Last week that was not even enough, so they've added an overlay code in 310. The overlay mean's I can't even call my nextdoor neighbor without dialing 1-310. That's the way things are growing and while all this capacity may sound like overkill today, the way things are going in a few years Qwest could be adding to it's capacity, the nice thing is they've designed for it.
