If everyone was pleased, why is share price heading south?

May be I am day-dreaming but I really read more from the lines in CC. They hire more people for expected growth although K.H. was stating conservatively as "slow" but stead growth. When someone asked about "unsigned" tier 1 deals, they changed it as "unannouanced". My understanding for this is; Up to this point, anyone who wants to get a market share of switched SAN should have been worked for at least one years on their system. They should have decided what components to use and may have signed agreement or contract with their suppliers. some are still testing and integrating, some are working on a sample project like HDS did, before they start ramp up the volume. They will make announcement when they ready.

I am ready to buy more.

Walter,

"I think everyone was pleased with the revenues this quarter, and they are growing steadily, albeit not rapidly. (Remember that $100,000 quarter last summer?)"

Good point. If you back out the Boeing revenues and Inrange revenues from last quarter and this quarter I believe you are left with just SAN switch revenues. Doing a calculation on this sequential growth rate, I come up with a tad over 40%. On an absolute $$ basis, it may not appear so great but I'm pretty happy with 40%. And I'm sure that it is going to go up from here unless we get into Y2K troubles this year. I'll stick my neck out here and predict that Ancor does $3 million in revenues next quarter and burns only 1.5 to 2.0 million in cash. Maybe, just maybe, they won't need to do any financing after all.

Also, I noticed that they mentioned that the Boeing delivery would be 'essentially' completed this(the current) quarter but that it would only amount to $1 million. According to the press release:

ancor.com

this order was supposed to be $1.5 million. Does this mean that the order has been scaled back or was the CFO(?) referring to how much free cash flow it would generate(one can only hope)?

KH said Internet 2 would increase demand for FC storage by 1 or 2 orders of magnitude.

My understanding was that this increase would occur after and on top of the large projected FC market growth for the next few years. (Internet 2 isn't exactly around the corner yet.) The questioner's reaction to KH's response was "oh, gosh!" ;-)

More financing in the fall, per Snyder.

I smell an equity stake - and judging from the question about the IBM holdings, I'm not the only one. (You might say I'm a dreamer...)
