I'm not an absolutist (knee-jerk or otherwise ) either. Reasonable restrictions on guns are ok, same as proscribing obscene speech.

For instance, if a community wanted to ban Marilyn Manson because his content is obscene by that community's standards, that's perfectly acceptable.
