UK's ITG<ITH.L>signs $6 mln Cisco<CSCO.O>contract LONDON, April 28 (Reuters) - Britain's Internet Technology Group Plc said on Wednesday it had signed a six million U.S. dollar infrastructure expansion contract with U.S. computer networking giant Cisco Systems Inc. ITG, an independent Internet service provider, said the infrastructure expansion would immediately enable the company to provide Internet access for 600,000 users and added that the network would ultimately be able to to accomodate over two million users. Laurence Blackall, ITG's chief executive said: "We are entering an era in which major brands will dominate internet access at the consumer level. ITG intends to be a major supplier of these brands." On Tuesday ITG announced the launch of its first phase of a subscription free Internet strategy which will rely upon on the company receiving a share of telephone charges when a user accesses the Internet.
