Nope, I'd just come back with some smart-a** remark about him eating some kids composition. Remember the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny? Well, Bilbo is the dog that eats all those compositions, as in "The dog ate it" (or its corollary, "The dog peed on it"). He is either deathless or the Undead; take your pick.
