Andrew, I watch the stock trade everyday. I have tick by tick quotes and there were no block trades today (10K or larger). One yesterday just after 4:00. FWIW, since I have followed this stock average daily block trading is probably 1-2 with many 0 days. I can print you up a list of block trades going back as far as you would like to see them.

As far as Amazon, the conference call sounded bad. We'll have to see.

I checked the log and the largest
trade was about 9k. However
there were many many 5k trades. At
$150k a pop these were not retail
types!

Thanks for all of the informative posts.

The shake out is over.

(OT) In fact, Amazon closed on NYSE at approx 193 down 13 points on the day and sold off another 7 points after hours. We all know that after hour traders can be as foolish as hyper threadsters, but the story going forward is sad as I understand it.

I think this stock could go to 100-120 over the next couple months and I will likely put my money where my mouth is tomorrow. It is generally against my nature to short, but some of these stocks are so incredibly overvalued they serve as a great hedge against tech long positions.

regards,

sf

Shoot (OT)...AMZN at 177 now, darn. I think there's another 50-70 points to go easy. Unfortunately a lot of new investors may get wiped out on these INETS before this is over.

andrew, i am not looking for a fight with you over what clearly was accumulation by one or more large investors today.

accumulation rarely occurd wit some one placing a trade for 10k, 30k, 50k,... unless the stock trades in this type of volume, then it will not be noticed.

idtc today had shaes sucked up in vast amounts in spurts, that is what your graph shows. if you followed on lvl 2, you would have seen all the asks taken out, and kept taking out for a short period of time. hence, what occurred was accumulation by taking out the ask. this happened several times today.

each time thousands of shares were purchased from the small investor by the accumulator by continually purchasing blocks at the ask. the purchaser would stop, and do this again later. hence small investors had there pockets picked by a large investor accumulating, and the novice investor looking for large blocks, fails to see the accumulation which was done in small blocks, but if you examine your chart, added up to thousands of shares.

it will be interesting to see if the accumulation continues tomorrow. whomever is purchasing has very deep pockets.

if i can i will post tomorrow if accumulation is occurring by a large investor.

good luck and what a great day for idtc with large accumulation occurring today. i just hope the investor has only begun to accumulate.
