it does take its toll, that's for sure. i have had 2 friends that have gone through it in the last 5 years. it will really wear him out...but you never know how it will turn out. he could have a full remmission period for some time. one of my closest friends has fought stomach, lung, brain, and cancer in the eye for 14 years and is still kicking ass at the golf course...winning tournaments and all. my heart goes out to you ed...it's a rough ride for all that are close to the victim. just keep your head up and stay positive. if he is anything like i think you are he is probably a tough cookie that will will fight to the bitter end.
