You don't need a library for free internet service. If you want it for free, use Netzero, you can download their s/w and use it for free, just have to put up with some ads. So what's your point? You don't really think free services can build and pay for the robust network that AOL has, that can handle 1M online users at a time, do you? Heck, my local library can't even afford to pay to keep their computers working.

AOL has a lot of challenges and competitors, but libraries are not among the top 100 or 1000. Try cable, that is more of a challenge.

The only thing for "free" here is the entertainment you provide every time AOL drops a few points.LOL
