I think your point is well taken, but can't help noting that an investing environment in which:

Losses don't matter.

is one that is heading for a fall.

AT the last quarter announcement, AMZN is only at 115. The stock has climbed almost 80 points in a quarter. It is time for a correction to the 130-150 level. Bezo can not use the split gimmick all the time. A split announcement can only push up a stock in a day or two. Look at CNET, good earning and split did not prevent it from tanking big time. All interNuts are in the correction mode right now when you have AOL down big time with great earning and huge revenue of 1.3 BILLION.
