Dang dog just retrieved a half stick of butter. I was sitting here, reading posts, and she came in and put her head on my leg, and whimpered. It had a kind of sad sound. "Poor puppy," I said, absentmindedly, and put my hand down and stroked her ears. She turned her head and bumped me with her jaw, I felt something kinda hard. I held out my hand open and she spit out a half-stick of Land o' Lakes unsalted butter, still wrapped in its foil wrapper, she had snagged from the kitchen countertop. Unharmed in any way other than dog slobber.
