... by: myturn__5 73317 of 73320 As sad as it's for a lot of Compaq employees, there are information I'm hearing from inside about a major lay off either this Friday( most likely) or next Monday. I'm hearing of big numbers( very sad) but needed for this company to be competitive. I know from a company release earlier this month that the number of people needed to go are 15%( of 17,000) translates to about 2550 people .( 85% of the 17,000 people have been laid off)
