Ian, actually, there are a number of companies selling "downscaled" UV lasers for other applications, such as some of those mentioned. Many of these applications do not require he exacting specifications as to spectral purity, energy density and "dose stability", thus such lasers are often an order of magnitude less than the CYMI's workhorse.

I will absolutely agree with you that finding new applications for the technology is a mode of expansion (it could involve downgrading specs and cost to meet requirements in other markets and many other possibilities), this what is usually termed lateral market expansion (getting completely new client sets for existing technology), the other expansion avenue I was alluding to was using existing channels of distribution (and now an excellent service infrastructure) to expand the technological base of the company into products required by the same customers that have grown to accept and respect CYMI's products.

I doubt we disagree on much on this issue.
