One thing that I noticed about the NQB site is that when the online version of the Pink Sheets becomes active only registered brokers and market makers will be able to post quotes.

This strikes me as just another example of the financial industry looking after their own interests, instead of benefiting consumers. The technology exists right now that could be used to allow people to safely trade stocks amongst themselves without the financial industry in the middle, but it's unlikely that will happen. Bad for business, you know!!

I have a lot of contempt for the industry that is Wall Street. You've got the market makers who are nothing more than pimps, matching up buyers and sellers, while taking a hefty cut of the money, you've got promoters selling dreams to people who will pay inflated prices for something they think will keep going up because it's supposedly special, you've got old-fashioned brokers who think they are still relevant and who think they deserve fat commissions for the mere privilege of letting you buy and sell stocks, you've got market pundits who make a living by claiming to know which stocks will make money, just like those people writing the tout sheets claiming to know which horses will win at the racetrack.

That's enough ranting for now!
