Hi Richard...I plugged it in. I haven't done anything else with it though...been too busy, unfortunately. It has the appearance of channels or bands, that's all I can say about it now. Why do you ask??? Do you see something in it???

I've been spending most of my free time with the CCI...I need to borrow your eyes and brain for a looooong weekend!

Thanks,
Mike

Richard, I have been playing with a number of iterations of this. Perhaps I've implemented the concept wrong in my formula, or am interpreting the results incorrectly. In periods of congestion it whipsaws back and forth. I've been trying to smooth that out with TSF or a weighted MA but not yet found something that I trust completely.

The entry signals in combination with some good sense about manually placing a sell stops is a good combination however. I've been trading some oil stocks over the past few days using this combo with some good success.

this is what I'm using for a buy
close > (mov((high-low),13,s)+((open+h+l+c)/4))

I've tried variations like close > hhv(mov((high-low),13,s)+((open+h+l+c)/4), Periods).

When I've done some more testing I'll report back.

To anyone, does anyone have an interesting use for TSF in either a daily chart or intraday chart time frame?

(Richard, thanks for posting the brain teasers from time to time. I'm sure many of us appreciate them and do follow up, even if some of us may be a bit gun shy of reporting results until we know what we are seeing...)
