Don, Generally, playing both sides of the same stock costs more than it is worth. I would reduce that tendency by picking a side and betting more there, with an escape the other direction. For example, I might buy two Jan 50 puts for every Jan 80 call, as I think the co. will flop. If it does work out, the 80 will offer enough upside to make up for the put losses. And we should know by next Jan, as the OEMs are either committing to Rambus or DDR some time this year.

The longshot bet would be a mediocre finish, such as Rambus greatly lowering their licensing fees to keep producers on board.
