Re: "Their site appears to be down but they ran an article in February
saying .18 was ready ..."

Rob ... Even Samsung's .25um process is not competitive with Intel's .25um
process. I don't expect anything to be different at .18um as well ... Remember
Rob, not all .18um process are "developed" equally. <ggg> Samsung has
little experience in the CPU process development area. Compaq has a "white
elephant" on their hands with Alpha. Kinda makes me laugh. <ggg>

------

You're right.. and you know what makes me giggle a little bit
too? At one time Intel was a force to be reckoned with in the DRAM
industry... then Samsung came along. Funny thing is, nary
a mention of DRAM, RAM, Samsung in "Only the Paranoid Survive."

Now that's funny.

Just how weak do you think Samsung's .18 copper-based process will be?

Yousef, Paul, Jim or any other veteran,

Maxwell's profile says that he works for Intel, "Company Intel (2 months at this new job)"

Member 299674

Is this new? Curiosity only, nothing else.
