Cheryl....I have not searched the net on propane laws, I have dealt directly with my propane dealer.

I live in the foothills and have stumpage on my property which kept me from installing a 300 gal tank, as I could not comply with the 18" ditching requirements.

For access to the tanks for service, I doubt that you would want to fence the tanks.... you definitely could not fence the larger tank, there are national rules and regulations.
