Having the first "NATO ethical war" in history being lead by a militarilly- inept amoral pacifist is a very large handicap.

>>In the end, the American taxpayer will have to pay billions for the bombs to destroy Milosovich and then pay billions to rebuild the countries infrastructure.

I believe that in the beginning at least, this was one of the major selling points of this little military escapade. Keep in mind that all of these billions of dollars will be paid to good ol' American defense contractors and good ol' American based construction companies (the names Lockheed and Bechtel spring quickly to mind).

<< Robert, with an attitude like that it will be no time at all before we are mired in 15 or 20 more Vietnam wars. >>

Never happen. NATO's interests are in protecting Europe.

<< I suppose you will back up your zeal by being the first to send yourself and your kids to the front line though huh? >>

Of course.

<< You love this war so much, why don't you run down to your local Army recruiter and sign up. >>

I hate war. I hate that murderous Fascist dictators cause wars and horrors onto innocent people. You, OTOH, seem to think that indifference is the best way to face "other" people's problems.

<< If we are committed to putting our fighting men and women in a battle zone, then put our own generals in charge and go in full force to end it quickly and decisively! >>

So, you think of yourself as a military expert. You would easily sacrifice thousands of our American forces in a mountainous "Vietnam like" war. Nice guy. I think that we should give strategic bombing a chance. Fairly soon the skys will open up over Yugoslavia for an extended period of time. Let's keep our forces safe and continue to destroy Slob's ability to make war.

I do agree with your suggestion of arming the opposing forces, like the KLA.

<< Europe has depended on mommy America and her children to do the dirty work for far too long. >>

Your indifference is overwhelming. I guess as long as your family isn't being threatened, it's easy for you to ignore the suffering of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Be careful of what you wish for. You might get a world of indifference and cruelty.
