New recommendation!!!!!! Markets opened higher and are solidly in positive territory. The Dow is trading in unchartered territory. Technology shares in general and Internets in particular are very strong. Please read the write up regarding Osicom Technologies at the bottom of this message. Shares of Nextlink (NXLK) (featured in Today's Picks) are up 3 1/16. The stock was downgraded this morning by Piper Jaffries! That analyst is probably not having a good day! Shares of Real Networks (RNWK) are strong once again. The company is supposed to have a major announcement on Monday. Several members have reported experiencing problems with the E*Trade Web Page. Osicom Technologies (FIBR) designs, manufactures and markets integrated networking and bandwidth aggregation products for enhancing the performance of data and telecommunications networks. We posted a rumor about the firm in March. Essentially, we pointed out that good news was expected, on the basis of the number of contracts coming into the company's pipeline. The price of the stock rose, until mid-April revelation of problems with a contract to sell communications products in Japan. Lawsuits were subsequently filed on behalf of shareholders, essentially claiming that the company had misled them about the contract. The stock price fell sharply, losing about three-quarters of its value. In the past few days, however, the price regained over one-half the loss and is on the rise. Options have been active. Calls are being purchased. At the time the contract difficulty was revealed, the Osicom CEO was reported to have remarked that the firm was actively pursuing alternative customers in the Japanese market. The recent positive stock and option movements may be an indication that Osicom has found a way to resolve its difficulties. If you are an adventuresome investor, you might want to take a closer look at FIBR stock. Over the past 52 weeks, shares have traded in the range $1 3/4 to $28 3/4. Currently, they are selling for $14 1/8, up $1 1/4 on the day.
