Dell (DELL: news, msgs) Chief Financial Officer Tom Meredith told attendees that his company is "in a moment of transition." And it's the Internet that is providing a roadway for that transition, he said. Dell continues to push its Internet efforts but he also he sees the company's overall performance, including hardware, growing at a multiple of the market. Meredith said the company sees quarterly growth in the first half of this year even as the industry experiences a decline.
