George,

Consan is indeed important. VARs are salivating over SANs but unless they're partnered or allied with a SAN package vendor, they would have to build them inside out. Consan can channel to the great unwashed. Can't wait to sell one or two.

Thanks for the posts peoples,

I think the conference call went all right. I was hoping for more probing questions, but I have no excuses considering I had the chance to go in the cc and ask better questions but didn't. It's great to finally see some SAN revenue...someone on Yahoo, I believe, posted about HDS maybe being something like the Bull deal in the past, and my only thoughts were, "I believe the HDS deal is SAN and the old Bull deal wasn't...this company is, believe it or not, about the new SAN world and this world ain't gonna be small..."

yes, we are still at 6 now. I don't mind. sold a little trading shares lately. will hope to buy back these small shares on panic from this company not making it again. seems only the cult here still follows. this will change in time. perhaps, the BRCD ipo will change things? truth is, this company has come leaps and bounds in the midst of steep competition in the past years and the almost suicidal bungee jump into the lower 1's last year (i'm still thanking someone up high i held on and bought more ;-)...and guess what, it's still here (sorry to disappoint the likes of a_rapport who thought Ancor would never get a tier 1)...well, since December 1998, unless I am reading wrong, she (ANCR) has signed up JNI, Inrange, Prisa, Forefront, nSTOR, Consan as dist., and HDS. Not too shabby...

Revenues are only starting to grow in the SAN environment, which is nice. Ancor has kept alive through the thick and thin by supplying some curious LAN stuff, all awaiting for this new industry to finally take hold. I'll take it, as well as the confirmation that their products are rugged and reliable.

From what i gather, we linger for a little and the die hards slowly build again, knowing the time will eventually come. The people only caring about momentum get out completely, and then we start over again. I hope, still holding my core position, that i will be able to get a few more trading shares cheaper soon. Not sure if that will happen, but of course, will be watching...

Good to hear that Ancor is trying to find more technical/manu/accounting personnel. I took this as a positive as well as the fact that many oem's are still evaluating and that the dilution is basically finally over.

i want to say thanks to the ancor people for continuing to work hard in this harsh environment. Even though they haven't exactly returned any of my simple e-mail questions in the recent past, I hope they keep the hard work up! and keep trying to stay ahead with new products...!

always here it seems,
cheers,
pigboy

Interesting story on Northern Trust in this month's Worth magazine:

worth.com

Nothing technical or about FC, but their prestige might carry some weight with potential IT departments of financial firms.

From the article:

"Northern consistently receives kudos from observers of the technological side of the industry and invests approximately $200 million a year to keep its edge."
