dispatches from Hambrecht & Quist conference

By CBS MarketWatch

Qualcomm (QCOM: news, msgs)Chief Operating Officer Richard Sulpizio said Qualcomm's sale of its wireless infrastructure business to Ericsson (ERICY: news, msgs) will close on or after May 24, but added emphatically that Qualcomm's handset business is not for sale. "We're bullish that we're going to see a lot more CDMA systems (wireless telephone standard) rolled out over the next years," he said. "As long as we can execute on our products, there's no reason why we can't be successful."

Maurice, JGoren, Thread,

Alright... OK. I admit, I was overzealous in my attempt to interrupt what I felt was inappropriate censorship of another man's post. Perhaps it was none of my business. I was prepared to just let it lie until Mr Goren later claimed his censorship was justified because no one resisted him in print. So I resisted him.

For the record, JGoren, I apologize for my callous and immature remarks. I hope you can see clear to let it go.

MW -

We still see very, very strong demand for
next quarter."

Oooooooh no this can't be. Surely Dr Jacobs, a Chariman of a publicly held company, with lawyers all over the place with class actions in theri pockets and the analysts who don't like to be dissapointed.....surely this all means that a man like Dr Jacobs would be cuatious and would never, never say anything at all bullish never mind something as huuuuuugely strong as that satement.

MW maybe the reporter was mistaken and was referring to last Q? Do you realize what would happen to this stock if the next Q was something like that statement implies???????????

Best regards,

L
