Interesting, indeed, Neocon. I'm tempted to look up the dialog here at the time the Espy verdict came down, it might perhaps illustrate why I don't take certain alleged attorneys seriously when they bloviate about "rule of law" and other stuff they seem to know even less about. With a date to key on, it wouldn't be that hard. But then, your response is illustrative enough, it's all the liberals' fault, just like Littleton, just like Hitler. Johnson resigned, Nixon could have won a Senate trial, and the final Reagan budget would have been 25% lower if it weren't for the dreaded "liberal" Congress. Not to mention guileless Paula Jones and her straightforward litigators. And to argue against any of this is to miss some larger point.

Which is why, of course, I mostly don't want to argue, or debate, or whatever you want to call it, anymore. May as well cut to the chase with pointless insults. I've missed the larger point that arguing about any of it is equally pointless way too many times.

Yeah. No "proven" connection. They didn't "prove" OJ did anything either. But you are right, nothing wrong with holding elected and appointed officials to a standard which avoids even an appearance of impropriety. JLA
