to whom it concerns: (dell) DELL COMPUTER Chief Financial Officer Tom Meredith said the company's consumer personal-computer sales, which were at a $3 bln run rate last year, will be substantially higher this year. During a presentation at Hambrecht & Quist's technology conference here, Meredith said Dell's consumer PC sales, which make up 5% of the company's total revenue, have been growing at six to nine times the average rate of growth for the industry over the past three years.
