James - i think weve humoured you enough on this thread by giving you some attention - its seems that's its whipped you up into some kind of frenzy where you feel the need to berate and insult long time thread posters. Look, you havent stumbled into some kind of secret information here - PC economics of scale are good for some markets, DELL economies of scale are great in some markets (just ask Compaq), Sun has been succesful competing in price but also in performance/features and continues to push both envelopes. Customers seem to think their doing a good job on both fronts.

So, why dont you be civil, put down that copy of PC Magazine and recognize that there are markets for PC's, Sun Workstations and Sun Servers. Workstations represent a fairly small slice of Sun's overall busines. The Internet "hype" you keep referring to are companies who are buying Sun Machines including Ultra's to build the storefronts and plumbing for the internet saving a thousand bucks to get an inferior PC doesnt seem like a bargain to me. If your anti-Sun because of workstations your truly seeing the tree for the forest.
