Re unmasking the aliases of those who utter death threats. I guess it might/must come to that. Perhaps another way to deal with these miscreants is to terminate their posting privileges immediately upon their posting such a threat; and then the site report the individual to the relevant authorities. Sites such as S.I., Raging Bull, and Yahoo can do this very easily. Uttering a death threat is against the law in any medium so I have no problems with chat threads taking action against offenders. etc.
