I've never belonged to any organization that didn't spend most of their time fighting with each other about what they should be doing.----- Ain't that the truth! But you are right, there are probably instances when manipulation is more effective. One of my problems with looking for it is that it is too convenient to explain not getting one's way, instead of dealing with the real issues. That is what the VRWC is finally about, explaining away Clinton's problems and refusing to come to terms with the Republican's success in the '80, and their capture of the Congress in the '90's. Newt was vilified because there had to be something nefarious behind it all! Thus, it was all covert racism (AHA!) and evil money (Double AHA!). As I said to some of the more obnoxious Democrats on the other thread, if the Democrats keep cooking up these excuses, they are doomed...
