tony, grow up. I don't get emotional about stocks. This is the kind of info I recall about the auction biz for amazon. It says when the auction business was launched, it lured new customers, therefore the estimate was raised. But that is not the point anyway, they are increasing their revenue with auctions however you slice it. Your initial string of 15 posts with "concern" about how amazon was going to come in with lower revs next qtr than this one, did they stuff the channel etc was just a bunch of crap. You don't accuse a management team of stuffing a channel unless you yourself know how to read a financial statement.

n Revenue
When Amazon.com launched its auction service at the end
of March, it said that its total customer base had increased
to “more than 8 million.” Because we had been looking
for the customer base to increase to only 7.4 million in the
quarter, this prompted us to increase our revenue estimates

for Q1 from $250 million to $290 million—an increase of
15% sequentially and a 230% year-over-year. We estimate
that books will account for approximately $235 million,
music $40 million, and videos and other $15 million
(although we doubt that Amazon.com will break this out).
