Let's kick some life back into this thread now that the market has kicked some life back into SATC. What do we have ahead? (1) ABB and some US telcos are trialling the flywheel, previous SATC utterances have suggested that summer '99 will be the breakout (if any) for the flywheels. (2) PEBB selected for Plug Power (stationary) and GM-Opel (mobile) fuels cells. I'd say forget the mobile and look at the stationary. Plug Power has a workable product, IMO, but who will pay $4-7K to get rolling with their own electricity? Without some sort of financing, only research stations at the edge of nowhere and rich hermits. So, look for an arrangement with GE or banks before the Plug Power fuel cells will move. Whatever happened to Delco and Magmotor?
Anyone awake out there?

I might get back in below 7.5 if it gets there, which it may not.
